Introduction Post

I think we've been spending enough time together (and for me, it's been very enjoyable time) that we should get to know each other a bit more. So here's a post for that purpose. Some things I'd love to know about you, my fellow fen, are:

-Your name and a little about yourself. (Age, job, where you live, anything about you that you consider important)

-How you got here. (History of the path you took to finding this game, not just how you heard about it but what made you care enough to actually check it out. And what made you interested enough to want to stay and spend hours and hours discussing it)

ETA: I had more, but after writing my own answers I realized that this was plenty to start with.

I have put my own answers to the questions in a comment. I really look forward to seeing what everyone has to say.

You navigate tags from the tags page. That's why I thought it would be a good way to go - it will basically do what you were thinking of having us do, only without more work for me! ;)

I'm all for solutions that don't involve crushing work for you! (I have great admiration and feel much gratitude to you already.) Do you want some control over the tags or do you want us making them up as we go (making up something that will suit a post as we write it)? It would seem that the latter option may lead to some duplication and, thus, to a bit of archival anarchy. Is there a way to retrofit if we end up creating redundant tags?

Also (and I guess I'll see this when I next make a post, but it would be nice to be prepared), does the post screen offer a drop-down list of existing tags or is the tags' box just a blank to be filled in without benefit of prompts?

The tags box is just a blank, but if you go back and edit your post, there's a special button to 'edit tags' that lets you see all prior tags.

I like the latter way of setting up tags, because yes, you can retrofit - I believe I can edit the tags on all entries as the community moderator (I'd better make sure that's true, but I'm pretty certain I can). So, we can just come up with things higgledy-piggledy at first, and then fix it later, if we need to.

I've given you some to test your editing ability, if you want. That was sort of fun -- but also proved that my tagging sensibility mushroomed to add lots of tags to each of my posts so it could be found under all related rubrics. If this isn't what you hoped for, be ruthless in bringing me (and my wild tags) to heel!

Okay!
