Introduction Post

I think we've been spending enough time together (and for me, it's been very enjoyable time) that we should get to know each other a bit more. So here's a post for that purpose. Some things I'd love to know about you, my fellow fen, are:

-Your name and a little about yourself. (Age, job, where you live, anything about you that you consider important)

-How you got here. (History of the path you took to finding this game, not just how you heard about it but what made you care enough to actually check it out. And what made you interested enough to want to stay and spend hours and hours discussing it)

ETA: I had more, but after writing my own answers I realized that this was plenty to start with.

I didn't realize you went to Reed as well! It sounds like we didn't overlap...? You ought to friend me on Facebook - my real name is, after all, very publicly attached to my journal.

Actually, we did overlap. I was two years ahead of you. I remember, because I knew about you in a vague way, like "a famous HP fan is coming to Reed", though I can't remember how I would have known that. And my boyfriend was friends with Leigh Walton, who I think you were dating at the time, and so I found out third-hand that you had played in TIN and was very excited. But I think you had left the game already by the time I found out about it.

A lot of Reedies used to read TIN, didn't they? Maybe someone should post about Alternity at ReedLJ?

And I've sent you a friend request on facebook. I suppose our paths have crossed enough times that it should be worth a facebook friending at least :)

To be fair, my first interaction at Reed featured someone fangirling me in Commons. (I am not joking... we later ended up rooming together... it was not the way I had envisioned arriving at college.) I was indeed dating Leigh then. Heh.

Good idea re: posting on ReedLJ, but I'd feel guilty doing it myself. (Among other things, I would get mocked like no other.) I might post about Alternity on the Reed Alumni Web Conference though.
