Why does the world not bend to our will? Honestly, you would think that no one else at all had a brain in their heads, nor used it. Incompetents, imbeciles, idiots, all. (Quoted from Umbridge's latest post.)

That sentence? To me gets the tone and language and so on so right - it's most of the things horrible about Umbridge to me. (Most of the rest being contained in "Sizzie, dear", of course.)

Okay, so it's not just me. Good, I'm glad her snooping had at least one negative effect - though I gotta say I'm disappointed that Marston kept her away from the two rooms likely to zorch her!

Allies have to be good for something, I guess? (It's not to his interest to have Dolores get blown up, really.)

Sure, it makes good sense that he'd do it, and it also makes sense from a storytelling standpoint for the character not to get zorched by blithely wandering into a Very Dangerous Person's residence rather than as part of a communal Umbridge-zorching, but I'm still disappointed she isn't a small pile of pink ashes :D
