I was thinking earlier that we still haven't had our end-of-book-five casualty, and if the LP kills Lucius--who I would really like to hear from/about, this is stretching out worryingly--with Dolohov's loyalties as strained as they are at the moment, we might get said seditious Dolohov. --and, you know, drive a huge wedge through the DEs, and probably push Raz's character arc into solidifying, and cause other chaos.
That would be interesting. And possibly painful enough to work as said death, I think, especially with how Pansy is likely to react. So, um, I'm kind of worried for Lucius at the moment.
(That said, I wasn't doing the best with guessing earlier either.)
Anyway, back on topic--I've always found that as an interesting trait of Dolohov's, and one that is probably pretty important to his character--remember his discussion with Barty after Seamus' mother's death?
