Below is not entirely in date order, as some plots overlap with others. Hopefully it will make sense, nevertheless.

• There was a hexing epidemic at Hogwarts, which included Neville getting disemvowelled. The Prefects and Governors were concerned. Along the lines of other silliness, a Potions accident resulted in various types of forgetfulness among the students. Fortunately, the effects were temporary (if hilarious). All these problems caused friction between McGonagall and Lucius Malfoy.



• Poppy Pomfrey caught a ring of ingredients-thieves at Hogwarts (after many months of things going missing). It seems they were brewing potions for mental enhancements to use during their OWLs. They were stripped of prefect-ships and given detention for the rest of their natural lives. McGonagall was in even more hot water over it.



• Sally-Anne was caught in connection with a hexing incident and forced to apologize (Hermione had to as well, as she was connected to it).



• The Sherwood forest band was still going strong, and being cultivated by Kingsley (he eventually snuck them some wands). His travels also took him to Moddey Dhoo, which remained more or less untouched.



• Padma saw something out by the forest - something scary. Eventually, Harry accused Macnair of threatening the Philosopher's Stone (Macnair, by the way, was seen practicing the tin-whistle by Sally-Anne). Eventually Draco and Harry went down the third floor corridor, bringing Hermione with them - just as McGonagall was called away on urgent business. They used the journals to get Ron's help on the chess game (also using a diagram). The logic puzzle was different. The teachers couldn't be much help; it seems that Minerva had intended a trap for Macnair and Quirrell... and found herself hidden and unable to help Harry at the end.



• Hermione got a lot of the blame - and in retaliation, Lupin was ordered to bite her parents... but he ran off before he could do so, and another werewolf had to be found. Ultimately, this cleared Lupin of any suspicion of involvement in the Potters' deaths. Eventually, Hermione's father died from the stress of transformation.



• Sirius investigated the Muggle-born child who's manifested in France. Turns out it's Justin Finch-Fletchley. He's doing well enough, though Sirius brought turmoil into the Finch-Fletchleys' lives; however, Justin was eventually accepted into Beauxbatons.



• Arthur Weasley looked into the case of Dean Thomas. He discovered that Dean is actually a half-blood. It was enormously disorienting for Dean, who got tutoring in all his subjects. He's a pretty strange kid.



• As the Order tried to recruit Tonks, she got in trouble. It took ages to settle.



• More information came out about the YPL camping trip; there were several meetings. The trip went pretty well; they cooked over fires, hiked, and had the Falmouth Quidditch team come by. Dean was totally bemused. (There was also a prank or two.) The students also found a smuggler's cave!



• The Malfoys, taking advantage of their status in the Protectorate, went to France on holiday. Draco discovered the possibility of nude beaches. The trip was, generally speaking, a whirlwind. Draco wandered off and was found by one Mr Brutka, an applicant to emigrate to the Protectorate; it seems he is qualified to work at Hogwarts.



• Over the course of the summer, Sally-Anne was posted with the Woods; she enjoyed herself. Hermione kept up her studies, though she stayed at Buckingham with Harry, who was really getting shown the ropes by his Father. Seamus got tutoring, but still had time to throw a party. Poppy Pomfrey went on holiday (but really to visit Moddey Dhoo). Terry Boot accompanied Amycus Carrow to the camps for the summer. Neville invited his friends to Blackpool with him (although Padma was a snot about it). Megan Jones called on a lot of people with her guardian.



• Alice Longbottom had her baby! (And the birth announcement for little Kevin was adorable!) Meanwhile, Colin Creevey did well at Moddey Dhoo.



• Bellatrix Lestrange also had a baby: Rigel Phineas Lestrange. Life in the Lestrange household, however, returned to normal quickly, apart from Rigel's naming.



• Harry turned twelve, with a huge party that none of his friends got to go to (but Hermione got to sneak out and see Kingsley!). But none of the packages to Harry were getting through... and worst, his journal didn't seem to be working. He went to the extent of having Hermione post for him.



• There was excitement at Flourish and Blotts, the day most of the students came to get their school things.



• Sirius continued to post Grim Truths (92/18/06).

I'm so glad you are going back and writing these. I sometimes point a friend towards the game and have really been wishing that the recaps were up to date. (She said, hoping this is a sign that year two recaps are in the works!)
