I expected the task to be the main event tonight, but am shocked by what's happening in the arena.
I hope no more die. Although judging by the fact that Voldemort cruciated Selwyn, Lucius and Crouch, I don't think there is going to be any happy ending from tonight.

I agree. By rights (well, by canon-parallel) the second Task should have been yesterday's big thing and an important mid-point in the tournament/year, but wow.

The Frost Faire went from being a background thing, an echo of plot themes, to looking a lot like a major turning point for the game.

I was out this evening, but I'm caught up now. It's so gruesome and sad.

The only good I can see coming from this is everyone realizing just how deranged Voldemort is, and that it helps bolster the opposition movement. You know he's bad when he's even got Lucius and Selwyn worried.
