I do like how Alternity gives us canon with a twist. I think that we wouldn't read if that wasn't so. But today it ia a really good one.

Sirius gets to learn exactly how Regulus died.

And even better than that, nobody has to go die for the fake locket! Sirius knows his brother turned against Voldemort in the end (and successfully so), and knows that Kreacher is weird at least partly because he had to help Regulus poison himself and then had to leave his master behind, and everyone knows to cross "the one in the lake full of inferi" off the horcrux list.

True, but will Pansy be satisfied with leaving his remains in a pool of inferi. She wants to bury him, doesn't she?

and there's the whole "we might have to face an army of inferi, and know where they are now" bit too.

Very true but somehow I doubt all the thousands of inferi would fit in the cave. I think most of them are possibly elsewhere.
They would have a chance to practise their anti inferi spells on a smaller number though.

She does, but I think she might be willing to accept that he's lost, as much as if he'd died at sea, especially now that she knows that her desire to open the locket was caused by the locket, not just her desire to bury Regulus.

I just realized something: Sally-Anne saw Regulus falling to the Inferi. So there's confirmation that that's where he is.

And she saw Umbridge's plate being broken, and they're going to have to do that to find out where the tiara is.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Noteworthily to more recent events, she also saw "Draco's angry, he's angry at everyone, and he's with Bellatrix, is that MLE? it looks like an office, he's sitting at a desk with parchment and pencils and he's drawing something. Did you know Draco draws really beautifully? Except he's not doing a portrait, he's drawing something else. I think it's a map."
