I think Daphne just made Head Girl! Oh, I can't wait to see Padma seethe.

Who do we think will be Head Boy? I suspect Seamus, given his and Tosha's history, though Linus is both reliable and easily manipulated.

I join in the flail of glee! So neither Padma nor Seamus made it, and they aren't first in the class either (Justin and Sally Anne are).

I anticipate Padma's reaction with every fiber of my being.

I'm wondering if this is going to be a point where Padma definitively starts allying herself with Council members against Dolohov. She's been doubly humiliated here, and in front of her idol Lana, and both of the top students are known to be some of Tosha's favorites. If she decides she's being punished or that they're being rewarded for their relationships instead of their marks and merits, I think she could get very spiteful and make some poor choices.

Well, yes, you're right, she might. Her reaction is going to be priceless nonetheless! At this point my expectation of evil glee is overriding my forward-thinking apparatus.

But Daphne doesn't have any real relationship with Dolohov (or any of the other professors, as far as I can remember, anyway?) and surely Padma wouldn't expect that the scoring on exams was biased in favor of a half-blood.

I do think it's likely that she'll think she was being punished by not getting Head Girl, and that Linus was being favored unjustly, but... I suspect a lot of people might think that about Linus, unless Dolohov says convincingly that he didn't want to burden fellow Councilwizards or something, because Seamus thought it was him and Macmillan, and Padma agreed it was probably one of the two of them.

That's true about Daphne, but Tosha did note that Justin was taking on more of the work in his group than he should have, back when the council challenges were first getting started; I wouldn't put it past Padma to assume that her grades in NA should have been higher because of the group work, instead of reflecting her own contribution.

This year is going to be so awesome! But I'm not ready for it to end! But SO MUCH MUCH. *feels*

Dear Padma's player: I am so glad you have either been delayed from posting, or have purposefully delayed Padma's response to the news, because waiting to hear from her has allowed me to imagine her opening her journal, then slamming it shut, then opening it, picking up a quill, throwing the quill, slamming the journal shut, etc, etc, etc. :D
