I know the codas are still being posted, but I just had to squeal with delight because Sally-Anne's vision of the aeroplane really was a true one! I was actually wondering about that this afternoon as my toddler pointed out every airplane that he saw.

And Dolohov's portrait lectures the Headmaster about standards! That's both perfectly appropriate and completely ironic!

And Evelyn marries a NASA engineer, and Cedric has a super-duper-extra-warded library, and Millicent starts a cat rescue! I love it all. Thank you all so much. (And I'll be back to comment with more glee as more things that make me squeal out loud get posted - I've loved everything, even the sad codas, though, even if I haven't squealed about it.)

So far, I think Tosha's and Cedric's are my favorite. Umbridge's made me laugh quite a lot, and the legend around Daphne is both sweet and sad.

I knowwww! I was wondering if Evie would actually end up going into space, and I'm eagerly anticipating each coda based on hints dropped in the previous ones. Dolohov warning against getting involved in revolutions, snerk. Narcissa driving a Bugatti Veyron makes me wonder how fast top flyers go by broom. Grimmauld becomes Goblin Central!

(I'm also curious how they undo all the Fideliuses and Neo-Fideliuses, or if. And about the world's reaction as the wards fade away!)

Evelyn going into space! Siz partnering with a muggleborn woman! I am so glad that she and Tosha keep up their correspondence. Terry/Luna! Cedric's coda in its entirety! Padma being the Snape (I wondered if she ended up Hermione's apprentice, which would have filled me with vicious glee.) I was sad about Bill/Rachel's marriage ending but it also makes sense...I hope they do eventually find peace with each other.

I was just reflecting on the fact that

1.) No-one is taking aside their kids and going "I'll love you even if you're sorted into Slytherin, which, as we all know, is the Super Evil House of Evil" because HAH

and

2.) Whereas in canon, Severus had the distinction of being one of the bravest men Harry ever knew, and Draco was maybe somewhat sad about his dying (we don't know for sure, I assume, though), in Alternityverse, he was not only seen as brave, but also genuinely loved by many people, and very much missed, which yeah.

Okay, the anonymous donation for Raz is heartbreaking, Justin's "Oh I say" makes me laughcry, I am unsurprised that a lifetime of fucking around with dangerous magical items leads to cancer in lab rats, and Lana's death is perfect.

I am amused that Draco and Hermione, of all people, seem to be the Lucius and Narcissa of their generation, down to being devoted but somewhat absent parents of their only child. And yet it fits perfectly.
