Dean's parentage discovered!
Well, that was fast.
And still developing as I post this. Live threads are the best.
Oh, also, Terry's non-protected posts continue to get more and more dangerous (bold, showing personality, expressing opinions), and I don't think he realizes it, and it makes me worry for him.

Signed, someone who is playing a student who is not privy to the details of her professors' personal lives. Least of all Professor Carrow. Do you think -- no, forget I said that, I don't WANT to think about this OMG EWWWWWWWWWWW.

As for what Terry did. . . shall I tell you? Mmm. I think not. Feel free to guess. Maybe you'll learn someday. It was something specific.
But trust me: even though it wasn't sexual it was utterly gross and degrading. I'm not sure I could ever bring myself to do it, even if desperate. Terry would rather die than ever have Hermione know. It didn't have anything at all to do with the medical experiments in Building Seven.
And it pleased Amycus very much.

And very true, regarding Alecto. With the Justine comments and so forth, I got a similar impression, at least for Alt!Amycus.

It was the correct answer, but as Terry's player, I judged it to be too revealing for this point in the story--more in terms of emotional nakedness than in terms of revealing the specifics of the incident. Terry cares very much about Hermione, and it has always been his instinct to hide from her most of what Amycus does to him, just to avoid upsetting her too much. In a way, the I Solemnly Swear lock has upended his usual strategy in this regard somewhat, because it continually entices him to be more honest than he has ever been before. He wants that, but it terrifies him, too, and he hasn't quite figured out the new boundaries yet.
As his player, I'm still figuring them out, too.

By the way, since the I Solemnly Swear lock started, Terry has become the character whose posts/comments I'm most excited to read.

He fed Amycus dinner and then plied Amycus with firewhiskey. Lots and lots of firewhiskey. Amycus is an alcoholic, but he frequently drinks so much to excess that he vomits it up and Terry is expected to clean it up afterwards. This time, after he'd sicked up on the floor, Terry begged him to take him back to Hogwarts and Amycus slurred, 'I don't believe you want to come back with me. You don't love your master enough. What would you do to prove it?'
Desperate, Terry belly-crawled through the vomit to kiss Amycus' boots as Amycus continued to jeer, 'Prove it, prove it!'
Finally, in total desperation, Terry licked up and ate the vomit.
Urgh.

Argh. I don't have an icon bad enough for this one.

That was worse than anything I could think of.
