I've been wondering this for awhile, but since Year Three is the next up, I may as well ask the question now...

Who will be the titular Prisoner of Azkaban in this universe?

I'm thinking either Snape or Peter. We haven't heard what actually happened to either of them, have we?

I'm leaning very hard for Peter being Sally Anne's new rat. It's just too convenient that she would get one now, as a relatively central character, and have him not turn out to be Peter. (Unless this is a red herring, in which case I'm chasing it gleefully for the amusement of the players. *g*)

I'm also wondering if Sirius is going to get captured this summer and briefly be a prisoner in Azkaban? I can't see how Snape would survive it without making him a animagus - isn't that all that kept Sirius sane in canon?

I was thinking that about Peter too! It could easily be a red herring, but it's fun to think it could be him. Now that I think of it, Ron did mention that Percy used to have a rat called Scabbers. But we have no way of knowing if that was Peter still, or just some real rat.

The net does seem to be closing around Sirius. I could see him getting captured, but wow, that would be a huge blow to the Order and other resistance. On the other hand, it would be amazing to see him escape after that... especially if someone else broke him free! I suppose they wouldn't need too, though. He could get free the same way again.
