I've been wondering this for awhile, but since Year Three is the next up, I may as well ask the question now...
Who will be the titular Prisoner of Azkaban in this universe?
I'm thinking either Snape or Peter. We haven't heard what actually happened to either of them, have we?

And I have no idea about the time turner. Who's likely to be taking too many classes? Sally-Anne maybe, and Padma, but even then I doubt they'd try as many as Hermione did.

Yeah, no idea.

Date: 2010-06-04 05:44 pm (UTC)I'm also wondering if Sirius is going to get captured this summer and briefly be a prisoner in Azkaban? I can't see how Snape would survive it without making him a animagus - isn't that all that kept Sirius sane in canon?

Date: 2010-06-05 12:03 am (UTC)The net does seem to be closing around Sirius. I could see him getting captured, but wow, that would be a huge blow to the Order and other resistance. On the other hand, it would be amazing to see him escape after that... especially if someone else broke him free! I suppose they wouldn't need too, though. He could get free the same way again.

Date: 2010-06-04 09:30 pm (UTC)I think Sally-Anne's rat is a red herring - I don't think Peter would have let himself be captured by Carrow and used for experiments, there are just too many ways that could go very horribly for him. (Speaking of Carrow, there's another character who was imprisoned in Azkaban in this universe!)

Date: 2010-06-10 04:24 am (UTC)If it's not significant, they're doing a great job of making us think it is. :)

So, it looks like they will be having a Prisoner of Azkaban (rather than having the Sirius-on-the-loose plot). Both Snape and Peter are still possibilities, of course; anyone else?

Date: 2010-06-10 04:21 am (UTC)Z-13... I'm horribly curious. I don't suppose the code is a clue at all to the identity, is it? Probably not, alas.
Someone who could have an appeal. So someone whose activities could be seen from a few different lights, not that that helps us a whole lot... but it has to be someone from Harry's past or who knows his family, I think, or they'd have to change an awful lot about the story.
