I've been wondering this for awhile, but since Year Three is the next up, I may as well ask the question now...

Who will be the titular Prisoner of Azkaban in this universe?

I'm thinking either Snape or Peter. We haven't heard what actually happened to either of them, have we?

I miss Snape too, but I'm wondering whether they'll stick to the plot (Sirius Black is thought to be near Hogwarts) rather than the title -- with Sirius already a fugitive from justice, if there were reports that he was back in Britain the same plot would follow rather naturally, I think.

I think Sally-Anne's rat is a red herring - I don't think Peter would have let himself be captured by Carrow and used for experiments, there are just too many ways that could go very horribly for him. (Speaking of Carrow, there's another character who was imprisoned in Azkaban in this universe!)

True, but I think Carrow is this universe's Snape (up to the seventh book, because he must be evil, really), meaning that the students will constantly suspect him of all evil things, even when he hasn't done them.

And I don't know what to think of the rat yet.. I don't think Peter would've let himself be captured either, but I still think it is significant. Somehow ;)
