I know my last post here was on Umbridge, so I shan't go on long, but...

I agree, it's just so patronizing. But a weekly pregnancy test? Really? What a b with an itch. (Literally.)

A weekly test is an awful idea, but it says a lot about Umbridge's lack of understanding how female anatomy works. From her letter to Kerr this is just a badly thought out excuse to check Sinistra isn't having sex, on a weekly basis.
However, won't it reflect badly on Kerr later if he carries her orders out? I can't imagine other Healers buying any need for a weekly, rather than monthly test. Of course, I might be seriously overestimating how much the wizarding world understands about sexual reproduction.

Especially given the fact that Siz has commented more than once about her usage of contraceptive charms. Which is a possibility that clearly has not considered the option of floating through Dolores's tiny little mind.

This interchange (http://alt-sinistra.dreamwidth.org/30007.html) between Poppy and Aurora makes it pretty clear to me that, at least in Alternity, the wizarding world understands a lot about sex and sexuality.

Dear darling Dolores? Not so much. Or if she does have a clue, she's quite good at ignoring said clue to further her goal of world Hogwarts domination.
