Ron thanks his friends. Molly laments. Professor McGonagall can't find the words. Penelope writes to Bill about the funeral. Pansy volunteers her elf's services to support the Weasleys. Daphne makes sure people remember there was a casting annoucement. Madam Pomfrey sends her condolences. Seamus seeks permission from his guardian to tell Padma and Neville something confidential. Lana tries to help the Yaxleys. Seamus bids farewell to Padma and Neville. Bill posts Arthur's obituary from the newspaper. Remus amends the notice to reflect the reality. Neville turns to Padma to come up with an alternative for Seamus. Pansy reports to Sally-Anne on the strained nature of the Malfoy party. Justin perceives how tense things are for many of the attendees. Professor Sinistra encounters an unwelcome confidence.
23 December
Charlie discloses the situation to his lovers. Professor Dolohov finishes his marking a little later than expected. Neville realizes that he may have made an error in his final essay for Dark Arts. Ron notices some strange visitations at the Burrow. Barty confirms that the report on the bombing will read to their satisfaction. Percy provides part of Arthur's final correspondence for the eulogy. Lucius pens a heartfelt thank-you to Pansy for her help managing the party-guests. Padma presses Neville for news of Seamus. She also promises Seamus that they're not giving up. Charlie takes Percy with him to the dragon preserve to get him out of the traffic. Justin puts two and two together. He also alerts Terry to his discovery and asks if he can find a way to the Burrow. Pansy checks with Hermione to see if she thinks they should all meet. Justin calls for a meeting of the ISS lock in Fred and George's room. Terry gets the twins' help to smuggle him in and out of the meeting. Seamus tells Neville he won't forget his actions. Sally-Anne summarizes all the conclusions the ISS lock have drawn about the wand smugglers. Lavender wonders what Padma, Neville, and Seamus could be talking about. Sally-Anne reaches out to Ginny. Evelyn feels relieved to know what her parents are doing to fight the Protectorate. Susan remembers that no one has told Ron about his leading role in the revue. Narcissa apologizes to Professor Sinistra for her unpleasant experience at the party. Barty investigates the IMA's infiltration into England.
24 December
Bill cautions the Order's fugitives against attending the funeral. Sirius suspects that the Junior Auxiliary are close to figuring out loads about the Order. Zacharias teases Susan for her unusual Private Message header. Susan panics over her mistake. Penelope offers Percy a chance to reconcile. Tonks reiterates that Laszlo's and Grimmauld are always open to the Weasleys. Bill relates intelligence and offers received through a visit from Dominic Selwyn. Cedric leaves his present for the twins by the Burrow. Neville speaks with Terry about his parents. Ginny collects the family's breakfast orders. Michael wishes Sally-Anne a happy Christmas. Pansy returns Lucius' admiration.
25 December
Fred and George fall for Ginny's trap. Molly wears a brave face for the holiday. Ron manages to enjoy himself intermittently. Professor McGonagall sends a jumbled greeting to the Order. Remus insists that the Order move up their plans to meet. Hydra compares notes on Christmas with Justin.
26 December
Snape joins forces with Madam Pomfrey to tend to Minerva. Draco hopes to get the cast of the revue together before returning to school. Terry chastises Hermione for deciding to share the Order's activities with so many of the ISS. Remus opens discussion of when and where to convene. Professor Sinistra corresponds with Professor Dolohov. Justin transcribes pieces of a conversation he and Hydra unintentionally eavesdropped. Cedric invites all comers to New London for pick-up Quidditch. Professor McGonagall returns home after a trying party. Hermione relays what Justin reported back to the Order. Sally-Anne receives presents from the muggles in the Strettons' service.
27 December
Remus wrestles over whether to take his wolfsbane. Seamus implores Professor Dolohov to reverse his proposed solution. Macnair describes his view of the Death Eaters' internal politics. Daphne enlists Sally-Anne and Pansy in the hope that Ron will turn down his proffered role. Snape summons Sirius for help with Minerva. Sirius explains to Remus where he's gone. Sally-Anne broaches the casting with Ron.
28 December
Sirius updates the Order as to Poppy's and Snape's plan for interceding with Minerva. Penelope needs Percy to correct a misunderstanding with their landlord. Director Selwyn arranges to collect Bill from the Burrow. Charlie looks after his brother in the immediate aftermath. Justin continues a conversation Draco meant to have on Boxing Day. Bill recounts everything he can remember about the ritual. Lucius gossips about Selwyn's growing reservations regarding Voldemort's behavior. Susan enjoys the chance to play Quidditch. Barty rides the high after the rite.
