Susan struggles through her Quidditch match. Professor Sinistra apologizes to Professor Lestrange. Justin suggests that Harry might loan his cloak to Hydra.
3 February
Someone sets the time and place of the secret meeting. Madam Umbridge reports her mixed success in taking over the school. Nymphadora feels ambivalent about depriving a lesbian couple of their hard-won child. Sally-Anne copies the minutes of the Galleon meeting. Ron invites Daphne to provide more assistance in his lessons.
4 February
Bill passes on the locations of the last two children in need of rescue. Evelyn discusses wizarding fashion of the 1970s. Lee floats the idea of testing Madam Umbridge's limits. A student concludes that Madam Umbridge means everyone to fail their Defence OWLs. Seamus remarks on the term so far.
5 February
Ginny writes a soulful message to her eldest brothers. Someone suggests keeping meticulous records on Umbridge. But they miscalculate the length of the message. Lee tests the privacy of private messages. Linus invites Padma to Hogsmeade very publicly. Bill worries over the implications of Ginny's private message. Fred and George fix things for everyone.
6 February
Bill remembers his father's birthday. Ron checks on Ginny. Madam Pomfrey updates Molly on Ginny's condition. Professor McGonagall thanks the ladies who have taken care of her. Hydra asks to borrow Harry's cloak.
7 February
Kingsley comes upon a dead woman and acts quickly to save Mrs. Perks. Hydra succeeds in her entreaty to Harry. Sally-Anne gives Ron her sympathies again for his father. Lee uses the Galleon to list his nicknames for Umbridge. It takes a second Galleon. And he needs a third as well. Sally-Anne works out that her mother escaped her father's house. Madam Sprout catches up with Professor Sinistra. Fred and George learn of the news of Sally-Anne's mother's death from an unwelcome source. Linus catches his former duelling club cohort getting into trouble.
8 February
Michael wonders why some of the boys have purple hair. Megan thinks they might be starting a band. Linus begs to reconstruct four and a half years' worth of class notes. Madam Pomfrey inquires of Bill and Nick whether it's likely Mr Perks will be able to take Sally-Anne back out of fostering. Ginny starts over with Luna. Professor Dolohov recovers enough to write a short entry in his journal. Blaise offers to escort Lavender to Hogsmeade. Ron lets Daphne know that he can't go to Hogsmeade, after all.
