26 December
Sirius wishes the Order a Happy Christmas. Narcissa recounts the drama of the Malfoy-Black-Lestrange Christmas. Dean spends Boxing Day with Neville. Ron lists a few of his gifts, but still doesn't seem to be speaking directly to his parents.
27 December
Ron gets an owl from Arthur that finally seems to break through his doldrums. Lana relates her various activities during the break. Sally-Anne asks the ISS-kids about the article in the Prophet, exposing the disease-ridden camps.
28 December
Kingsley reports the progress of the Sherwood resistance group. Sally-Anne posts more publicly to complain about the alarm caused by the Prophet article. Bill confides to the Order that the Ministry is reacting to the article very strongly, though not necessarily responsibly.
29 December
Poppy gains confirmation from her contact that there is a halfblood ward at St. Mungo's.
30 December
Lucius believes the Ministry is close to concluding its initial investigations.
31 December
Narcissa's preparations for the gala are interrupted by news that another elderly relative has died.
1 January
Selwyn insists, despite a partial confirmation of the Prophet article, that there is no danger to purebloods or halfbloods. Luna tells herself Happy Birthday. Lana recalls her part in arranging the St Mungo's gala, including setting up several arrests during the party.
