Lucius assesses the reception of the Minsitry to its new leadership. Lana sends out a few notices to the students. Arthur provides more insight and details as to the staff shakeups at the Ministry.
12 January
Seamus hears screaming and suspects that someone is being petrified. Pansy explains that Sally-Anne accidentally walked in on the Transfiguration group and was Cruciated by Lana Sandoval. Padma bids Sally-Anne to confirm that she'll be okay. Sally-Anne complies, but not before Luna notes other uses for the Cruciatus curse and Susan resolves to write more often, per Professor Sprout's instructions to Hufflepuff.
13 January
Sally-Anne recounts what really happened in an ISS-locked post. Dennis finishes the last of his Christmas scones. Ernie opines that Lana's actions were perhaps a little over-zealous. But Bellatrix commends Lana for her fortitude. Harry objects to the use of the Curse. For Dean, it triggers some unpleasant memories.
14 January
Professor Sinistra clarifies her own office hours and policies for her classrooms and equipment. Percy inquires whether Luna needs the hospital wing after Carrow viciously uses the Cruciatus on her at supper. Ginny sends Luna a little comfort. Professor McGonagall describes how Carrow behaved and reports her outrage to the Order.
15 January
Ernie avers that he will never use his journal again. Arthur issues a warning that the Ministry is preparing for some type of disaster. Sally-Anne realizes some truths about the aftereffects of the Cruciatus curse and discusses it behind the ISS lock. Seamus reports that a halfblood Quidditch player fell off his broom, seemingly prey to the same illness that has been effecting Muggles and Muggleborns. Lucius fumes over Carrow's use of the Curse and warns Minerva that the Board will meet next morning.
