Pansy thanks everyone who helped celebrate her birthday. Lucius quashes speculation that he is gravely wounded. Professor McGonagall explains her inability to answer the Order's queries.
30 January
Penelope eases the rehearsal burden for people with smaller parts. Seamus passes Mr. Rosier's counsel on to Padma. Lucius replies to Director Selwyn's and Mr. Rosier's owls.
31 January
Hermione asks Professor McGonagall if the Carrows are going to be fired.
1 February
Sirius overhears a conversation that points him toward Macnair. Barty organizes a posse to look for Macnair as well. An anonymous person hijacks Charlotte Smythe's journal to post an entry claiming to be one of Sirius' Grim Truths. Lucius questions Director Selwyn regarding the identity of the hijacker. Sirius repairs to a nearby village to continue his reconnaissance, after following Barty's team all day.
2 February
Barty checks in with the team investigating the journal theft before leaving the field. He also updates Bellatrix on the Macnair sighting. Zacharias probes Draco for inside information about the Carrows. Barty begins interrogating the suspect they have in custody. He also summons two of the trainees to assist. Director Selwyn discusses the results of her questioning with Lucius and Barty. Amycus dislikes being separated from his sister.
3 February
Director Selwyn inquires whether Bellatrix has gleaned any more information out of their prisoner. He later proposes a strategy to entrap her accomplices. Narcissa interjects with an entry about less crucial matters.
4 February
Harry wonders whether anyone believes that the Grim Truth post was by Sirius. Charlotte Smythe posts another Grim Truth, revealing the ultimatum that Selwyn made per his plan. Selwyn denies the claim with an alternate story. He also releases the hostage to Bellatrix, privately, making good his threat. Sally-Anne takes the discussion to the ISS lock.
