Blaise observes small and large changes in the new year. Nymphadora volunteers to take on more of the missions into camps, since she can save on polyjuice. Lana Sandoval learns that she will not be assigned where she hoped. Ron writes to his parents. He also issues an open invitation to play chess. Professor Dolohov offers gentle correction to Percy.

Zacharias returns from an afternoon of flying. Padma postpones History Club. Neville looks after his sister. Penelope complains to her mother about Sunday dinners with the Weasleys.
10 September
Penelope also reminds Percy that she won't be home for dinner. Alice updates the Order on Moddey's preparations for winter. Narcissa manages the Malfoy calendar.
11 September
Lucius finds Fulton's dossier unenlightening. Arthur wrestles with a family's demands regarding their muggleborn's brothers.
12 Septemeber
Hydra hedges the truth in her answer to Narcissa about her interest in boys. Seamus approves of the direction of Dark Arts lessons. Ron sends Professor Dolohov a message to ask a question he hadn't thought of during the lesson.
13 September
Professor Dolohov solicits additional questions from all students. Padma docks points from Luna for confusing two very different books with the same title. Professor Dolohov attempts damage control. Percy alerts Lucius to the potential problem.
14 September
Hydra survives her meeting with Madam Umbridge. Cedric requests a meeting with Raz. He also considers more immediate housekeeping issues with Siz. Madam Pomfrey informs Dolohov that she has now corrected three students' misinformation from the wrong version of Intra Profundis. Justin needs a remedy for chapped lips.
