5 January
Sally-Anne uses the Galleon to start asking questions. Hermione leaves Buckingham for the Order meeting. Professor Dolohov replies to Ginny's request. Ron connects to Justin over their adventures on his visit. Nymphadora passes on to Macnair what she's learned about the Jugson servant. Remus posts an exhaustive summary of the Order meeting. Sally-Anne walks along the street at the 12th Night Faire. Daphne arrives at the Ball. Sally-Anne warns Pansy that Jeremy Stretton might ask her to dance. Director Selwyn learns of some incidents in which portkeys are directing travelers to incorrect destinations. He also interrupts the faire to make a public safety announcement. Lana Sandoval-Pennifold comments on the festival. Daphne asks Zach to dance with her. Sally-Anne debates the option of turning in her portkeys for a snack voucher. Director Selwyn misplaces his daughter. Harry finds her. Neville wonders if Terry might know why the portkeys are malfunctioning. Padma looks for Seamus. Bill ensures that the Order knows not to use their portkeys. Justin locates Hydra so they can say goodnight.

6 January
Pansy checks on Draco. Lucius summons Draco so that Narcissa can Apparate him home. He also complains to Barty and Selwyn of the continuing logistic trouble clearing the festival of guests. Remus requests Sirius join him instead of brooding alone. Blaise bids Daphne and Padma goodnight. Another Galleon message appears. Padma admonishes students for running on the train. Director Selwyn issues fresh instructions regarding replacing and registering portkeys. Madam Umbridge announces the next activities for the YPL. Ron thanks the ISS for their support during the holidays. Draco challenges the Galleon statement about Sirius. Someone jumps to defend Sirius. Another person also adds a point. Nymphadora compares notes with Charlie. Megan follows Madam Umbridge's advice about writing more open posts. Padma doesn't. But then she does. Snape plans for the worst with Macnair. Sally-Anne writes about being back at school. Susan vilifies Padma. Ron brings his present from Arista Selwyn back to school with him.

7 January
Ginny misses her eldest brothers. Madam Pomfrey requests that several students and staff members report to the Hospital Wing. Madam Umbridge demands the presence of every student who posted a Private Message of any kind on Sunday. Draco comments on the start of term with particular sarcasm. Daphne arranges the rehearsal schedule and production crews for the revue. Ron reports that Madam Umbridge made all the students read their private messages aloud and serve detention. Eloise wants to know why she was assigned to the carpentry crew.

8 January
Harry muses on the Galleon about how to get rid of Umbridge. Someone lists her bosses and proposes turning them against her. Another suggests organizing a coordinated journal message petition. A third thinks of getting parents to write. Someone points out that they need real reasons, not just dislike. Hydra invites others to sit with her at lunch. The Galleon reminds everyone that Carrow killed a student before he was successfully sacked. Someone responds that Umbridge is no Carrow. Another recommends either boring or overwhelming her. Zacharias solicits conversation in his journal. Professor Sinistra hears some disturbing news about a former student. Bill confers with Charlie over his reentry. Michael observes that classes are proceeding as expected.

9 January
Sally-Anne contemplates an offer to intern for Madam Pomfrey. Professor McGonagall conspires with Professor Dolohov to keep tabs on Umbridge. Sally-Anne puts together an OWL revising group for halfbloods. Hydra worries that she heard her cousin Nymphadora's thoughts, instead of speech. Sally-Anne recaps the ISS's discussion of their individual assets. Madam Pomfrey reminds Snape that he is due for an annual physical.

10 January
Terry struggles over whether to tell the ISS what really happened the day he escaped Carrow. Professor Dolohov verifies some background information regarding Poppy's request. Seamus pens a quick post as cover to ask Padma to meet privately. Professor Sinistra heeds Narcissa's advice on hosting a tea party. Professor McGonagall wishes Snape a belated happy birthday. She also considers taking up smoking. Michael schedules the halfblood revision group around his and Sally-Anne's availability. Sally-Anne runs an idea past Ron and Justin.

11 January
Professor Lestrange endorses the proposal to use more open posts and fewer private messages. Remus pursues official portkey replacement. Justin expresses a desire for some early rehearsal. Hermione covers up her own spell-casting by asking Hydra to claim it was hers.
