Charlie reassures Ron that if he has to put the Order ahead of family, they will understand. Ron sets a late date with Sally-Anne. Headmaster Dolohov amuses Barty with tales of the gala.

Ron is awakened to help with security for the parade. A Galleoneer mocks the proceedings. Penelope watches from the press box. The Galleon spies werewolves among the marchers. Jeremy hopes to meet friends after the parade. Ron reaches Buckingham. Ptolemy Baddock goes to collect refreshments for Karoline and Narcissa. A Galleoneer spots the next group of marchers. Lavender tries to keep the Gryffindors in line. Headmaster Dolohov reacts to the news of a second set of arena games. Ernie comforts Megan. Frank waits impatiently for the rescue party to return. Padma congratulates Seamus on his win. Dolohov bestows some last-minute advice to Justin. Sirius stirs the pot. Daphne records her observations. A Galleoneer picks up the call to remember. Jeremy stays with his family. Headmaster Dolohov calls Hydra, Justin, Seamus and Padma to him for instruction on fighting their next foes. Ginny keeps track of the prisoners being called into the arena. Sally-Anne needs help when a section of tower falls. Susan encounters trouble, too. Ron writes to Harry to distract himself. Sally-Anne returns to find that Justin is being made to fight Dolohov.

Susan arranges to switch with Terry. Jeremy reports that Voldemort has left. Harry provides his summary of Voldemort's last statement before ending the games. Susan looks for her parents. Rookwood discovers the breach at Azkaban. Narcissa resolves to be more cheerful in the new year. Alice thanks Bill for looking for Neville. Padma sports her new scar. Frank seeks Snape's assistance after a nightmare. Tonks talks with Charlie in the aftermath. Bellatrix confirms the results of the breakout. Daphne consults Rachel on the art of dating the enemy. Hydra wonders how Draco is doing. Pansy requests to visit Lucius. Justin apologizes to Harry. Harry inquires after Hermione and Draco.

30 December
Sarah Fawcett uses Draco's journal to report on his status. Terry reaches out to Fred. Sally-Anne has an extra half-day of training to make up for the disruption by the parade and games. Fred enlists Madam Pomfrey's help with Terry. Evelyn copes in her own way. Alice reminds Terry of his place in the family.

31 December
Pansy directs her shadow business before going back to school. Sally-Anne completes her emergency response course. Madam Pomfrey cares for her charges. Fred verifies Terry's well-being.

1 January
Sally-Anne wishes everyone a Happy New Year. She also shares a dream she had. Barty invites Daphne to visit again. Frank organizes plans to defeat the inferi. Hermione worries that members of the Order will doubt Draco's intentions now that his father's their prisoner.

2 January
Daphne breaks her date with Blaise to go to a party with Barty. Alice pushes the Order forward with their interracial negotiations. She also frets over Dedalus Diggle's lack of improvement.
