"take memories for evidence"
Apr. 13th, 2014 04:11 pmMemories as evidence don't carry with them the rememberer's thoughts, right? I mean, I know that's an advantage of the Pensieve - i.e. you can see your own memories again and think different thoughts about them, or notice things you didn't consciously notice - but I am really concerned for Hermione if Raz thinks "it may be useful to take memories for evidence." and that's not the case for her.
I mean, Nott really did Imperius her, and he really doesn't have a license for it, but she knew to expect him, and it wasn't just because Harry 'ordered' her to agree to the dare. (And she did say no, and that it was because she didn't want to disrupt the lesson might not help.)

I think she would be in trouble, but if she errs through wanting to please her Master I can see it being taken as demonstrating her loyalty.
I also think you can control what part of memories you give, otherwise interrogation wouldn't be so needed in MLE.

Raz wants to incriminate Theo as much as they do, and he has no real reason to think hermione has anything to hide.
She originally told Theo Last week , I can't do that because Harry wouldn't like it. That memory added to the one of the Imperius should confirm their story.
And Raz is very loyal to Harry. Harry could probably ask Raz to teach him to remove the memories for future reference, if he felt Raz doing so was Too great a risk.
