What on Earth is Blaise up to?

There must be something buried in that list of contributions. Supporters of the Dark forgotten- he takes a lot of time justifying this. Are there any of the forgotten left?

At the very least I suspect the payment for his step fathers assassination is hidden among this list.

Probably in the Supporters of the Dark contribution - particularly since his corespondent seemed to think that required justification.

What better way to offer support than by providing employment?

But actually they all sound dubious. Are any of them real? And I can't really see Blaise as someone who would support any charity that didn't give him something, such as standing in society.
If this has only started since he came of age, it's very recent. I guess each one could be a small contribution that adds up to an assassins fee. But if he has got himself involved with someone who has that many fake accounts, you are talking organised crime, or revolutionaries. And if they were small amounts why would any one question them?

The donations in themselves didn't trigger any suspicions for me.

It just reminded me of when Pansy became responsible for her own fortune. I think it was Lucius who told her charity work and/or donations would be important obligations for someone of her status. And even though status is everything to Blaise, I can't really imagine him doing any of the work part, so...

But look again at the list. Not one of them sounds like a legitimate charity, and especially not one that Blaise would support.
I can imagine Blaise supporting deatheater widows and orphans, or impoverished pure bloods, or a museum of protectorate history like the waxworks the students saw in Blackpool. But Gnomish language or rare magical animals seem unlikely, I can see Luna supporting such things but they don't seem to raise Blaises profile as a wealthy, connected pure blood.

I shuddered when I read about the Protectorate Society for the Cultivation of Giant Hogweed. That stuff is evil. Eeeeevil. It's phototoxic, for one thing, and can cause blindness, for another. Seriously, it is a dangerous, dangerous plant, and people are warned away from trying to remove it themselves, and told to call experts.

Nope, Seamus admits he was. All Padma used was stinging hexes. They are both charming characters aren't they?
Padma at least is being cautious, because she doesn't want to annoy Harry more.
