Did Regulus kill her? I mean, presumably not every death mentioned in-game during the "Reg is being sent off to do horrifying things" was Reg, but this came right after him getting an assignment from V. If so, why was she a target?
In the lingering snark after the Dean Incident, Neville says to Lavender, "The one time he said something in the journals he realised afterwards might have hurt someone's feeling, he apologised right away. That's more than I've ever seen you do."
...Lavender did apologize to Luna after the Battle of Hogwarts. Was that the first time she ever apologized to anyone? :g:
Complete coincidence. Reg was not responsible, as far as I know. Iirc, what happened was that as Deb and I dived deeper into Black family history, we discovered this death (and great-aunt Cassie in December) on JKR's tree. So we wrote it in.
