Professor Sinistra notes that weather woes already plague her lesson plans. Harry investigates the availability of special teacakes when Mr Malfoy is not there to visit. Padma remains impressed with the YPL programming. Madam Pomfrey exults that Charlie's visit also brought her much-needed (and illegal) dragon's blood.

Narcissa thanks the high bidders from the auction. Ginny worries about experiencing losses of concentration and time.
30 November
Sally-Anne reviews the YPL presentation in more detail. Dean receives two owls, one contradicting the other, telling him his foster family assignment for the holidays. Arthur passes on some intelligence from Charlie pertaining to the wards around the Protectorate...and when they are vulnerable.
1 December
Pansy plans her holiday.
2 December
Ron lists every hex and jinx he can think of for use in dueling. Hydra rescues her rabbit.
3 December
Lucius directs the Minister and promises Pansy a visit. Sirius hears that his home may be being watched. Seamus accepts Draco's invitation to a Christmas party.
4 December
Professor McGonagall requires the names of the students who will stay for the holidays. Ernie looks forward to Draco's party as well. Percy defends the need for students to abide by the rules regarding use of magic in the corridors. Dean wonders what Mr Peakes will be like as a guardian. Narcissa realizes that Draco's invitations and hers do not match.
