Linus Moon panics over a mishap with his hair just before the curtain rises on the YPL play. Lucius chuckles over the play's artistic inaccuracies. Narcissa finds the play extremely funny as well. Susan Bones yells at her castmates for a disruption that occurred just before intermission. Director Selwyn continues a conversation with Lucius and Narcissa about the play's merits. Pansy takes a moment's downtime to register her outrage. Penelope Clearwater loses her composure when Ron mistakenly lengthens his death scene. Percy tries to encourage and comfort Penny. Luna compliments her fellow cast members. Ginny chooses instead to call Ron out on the carpet. Lavender lets everyone know about the cast party. Director Selwyn congratulates the cast and crew for the drama - planned and unplanned - of the evening. Susan thanks her parents for the bouquet. She also writes to her aunt to thank her for coming. Professor Sinistra offers her own praise for everyone's efforts.

Professor Slughorn singles out Sally-Anne and the girl she understudied, one for recognition and the other for shaming. Pansy plans a birthday party for Sally-Anne. Molly recounts her and Arthur's visit to Hogwarts for the Quidditch match and the play. Seamus experiences a little post-show depression. Sally-Anne acknowledges Pansy's generosity. Ginny challenges Draco and Blaise for using private messages in her journal. Ron gives Jeremy Stretton a hard time for forgetting Sally-Anne's birthday.
18 April
Lucius enlists Draco in a scheme to use Ginny against her family. Sally-Anne reacts to a much-chagrined Jeremy Stretton. Blaise Zabini plots Teddy's birthday party with Draco.
19 April
Ron confirms the ISS group's plans to meet for defensive practice.
20 April
Narcissa hints that her upcoming party will be a grand occasion. Neville seeks the twins' advice when a defensive spell goes awry. Sally-Anne wonders whether Madam Pomfrey was able to reverse the spell damage. Poppy smells something fishy in their explanation to her.
21 April
Frank discusses Neville's choices of friends with Alice.
22 April
Poppy updates Professor McGonagall and Madam Hooch on the regimen Vicky Frobisher must follow. Arthur investigates a case of wandless magic that led to a muggleborn wizard getting killed. Hermione discovers a letter from Snape in Harry's belongings. She also gives Harry another item left for him by Snape. Sirius decides to go to Hogwarts. Remus thinks Snape may be using the tunnels. Minerva waits for Hermione to report to her. She then examines Hermione's memories in the Pensieve, and learns that Hermione gave Harry a photograph. Lucius informs Narcissa that he must forsake her for the evening.
