Frank risks including Harry's name to send Hermione a private message. Remus finds this worrisome. Barty congratulates Narcissa on her garden renovations.
24 April
Padma bonds with Pansy over their mutual mourning. Seamus asks permission from the Headmistress to listen to her wireless. Padma checks on him. Terry wonders why Seamus is in the Headmistress's office. Barty argues with his father about screening their mail. He then authorizes his colleagues to deliberately delay his parents' mail deliveries.
25 April
Lucius provides some intelligence regarding potentially illicit activity in New London's commercial sector. Alice arranges a birthday celebration for Frank. Terry discovers a break-in to the secret classroom he and Hermione use. Pansy frets over the magnitude of trouble the ISS kids might get into for helping Terry and Hermione learn magic. Sally-Anne makes a more reasoned argument against teaching them. Susan prepares for a choral concert.
26 April
Seamus thinks he saw a Grim near the greenhouses. Lavender figures it must have been his imagination. Draco probes Daphne for information about Ginny Weasley.
27 April
Ginny proposes increasing her study sessions with Honoria Sandoval. Goyle's journal is used for another "Grim Truth" impersonation.
28 April
Narcissa consults Bellatrix and Barty regarding a troublesome letter. Draco recovers from Blaise's birthday party. Harry explains his point of view to Hermione. Ron inquires about Blaise's party and what made it so exciting. Daphne throws caution aside to write directly to Barty Crouch, Jr. Blaise thanks everyone who contributed to his party, especially Daphne for organizing it.
29 April
Barty confirms whether Narcissa still wants him to come look at the letter she received. Draco sets his plan regarding Ginny into motion. Ginny borrows a magazine from Luna. Barty tries to cancel an order his clerk had already placed. Narcissa arranges an arrival time for Rodolphus. Blaise works on his Care of Magical Creatures assignment. Ron threatens Malfoy and Zabini against bothering his sister. Blaise writes in French to purchase a present. Linus Moon complains about a missing book.
