Madam Pomfrey cautions against attempts to self-heal. Michael scraps his essay and rewrites it. Madam Umbridge begins a series of civics lessons for first- and second-year students. Charlie checks on Ron and Ginny.

Hermione seeks advice from Remus regarding what to say and not say to the ISS. Bill shares a letter from Ginny with his parents.
22 November
Frank invites Tonks up to Moddey for the day (and night). Hermione tries to offer concrete information when asked directly. Michael thanks Sally-Anne for her help with his essay. Remus realizes that it's his and Sirius's anniversary. Charlie confirms that he'll be home for the holidays. Ron vents to Sally-Anne about their lack of inclusion in the wand smuggler band.

Professor Dolohov engages Sally-Anne as a clerk for his holiday correspondence. Hermione asks Sirius and Molly about Sally-Anne's mother. Narcissa teases Antonin about the timing of his message to Sally-Anne. Cedric receives a broom from his parents, especially designed for a Keeper, rather than a Seeker.
