Dolohov

I'd been starting to wonder if Dolohov were really as dire as he'd been painted, since we see such a charming aspect to him in his conversations with Siz--but ugh, this comment of his gave me a feeling of physical revulsion on reading it right after Bill's account of the evening's events.

(Um. Good going, Dolohov's player? And I'm back to being worried about Siz.)

Also, I'd hoped for as long as I could that the "Damascene variant" would be something that substituted a non-living sacrifice. Aaaaaagh. I forgot Dolohov doesn't care about life, and I let myself forget about Molly's brothers.

Feeling very similarly re: Dolohov right now. And yes, major kudos to the player! And poor Bill. Poor Seamus.

Loving the return of Snape, and worrying a lot about Minerva too! It's been nice to see some Remus/Sirius in the midst of all of the Order stuff.

It's also been great to see more of Macnair and Frank Longbottom in the Order threads--they both have a kind of rough-hewn quality that I really enjoy.

Yes. But how much does this one (http://alt-lucius.dreamwidth.org/68658.html?thread=397362#cmt397362) bring into focus so much about the DEs? I love that we get these opportunities to see how they are not all cardboard cut-out villains, and that they have complex emotions and thoughts about why they're involved with Voldemort even if he is totally crazycakes.

Yes. They would not be nearly so dangerous (or scary) if they were cardboard cutout villains. I love how the last day or two particularly brings that out.
