I'm not sure I can think of any threat that doesn't make him at least an almost-entirely-complete jerkoff ratface, honestly, but Megan's insistence that Susan not tell Ernie does tend to suggest worse threats rather than milder ones. :/

I think he threatened to tell Ernie's parents that he's dating a halfblood. If I remember correctly, they've been keeping their relationship quiet because of that. Megan would much rather she get in trouble than Ernie. And she doesn't want Susan to tell Ernie because he'd likely just fess up and take the consequences instead of letting her take it all.

Or maybe not, but it seems a very Slytherin thing to do, use a Hufflepuff'sloyalty against them. What do you think?
