Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!
So which Uncle of Sirius's do you think he was referring do? I defy anyone to come up with a theory that doesn't make the Grim Truth he just posted as anything other than Sirius, Regulus and the Houses of Black and Potter.
Also Harry's continual references to whatever project they've been working on (sticking charms, melted cauldrons and all) is MADDENING.

Date: 2008-12-26 10:38 pm (UTC)I checked it out at HP Lexicon (http://www.hp-lexicon.org/wizards/blackfamilytree.html), and the uncle is Uncle Alphard, who was later disowned for supporting Sirius. The story is definitely about Sirius.
I wonder how Lupin feels reading it. I think the estrangement between Lupin and everybody else is so sad... though there is of course the small possibility that the one change in this universe was actually that Lupin did betray the Order. But it seems far more likely that it was still Peter, but that nobody knows. Maybe they'll find out in third year.
Nobody indicated that they got an invisibility cloak for Christmas, so that mystery remains.
I've been enjoying reading all the posts, but miss people conversing with each other. It seems like in this game, most of the action happens in the posts, whereas in TIN most of it happened in comments. Have I made that observation before? Of course, it's also Christmas, so probably it's hard for multiple players to be on at the same time.
There are a lot more hints that have been dropped lately that I want to discuss, but I have to go to San Francisco to see The Nutcracker now. I'll try to be back on later tonight or tomorrow.
