Penelope Clearwater was not impressed by any of the goings-on. Draco didn't think that Harry and Ron should be friends. Lucius seemed to feel paternal towards both Draco and Harry. Sirius asked McGonagall how Harry got put in Slytherin. Fred and George felt upstaged.

04 September
McGonagall announced the twins' punishment for their prank, but Lucius Malfoy took her to task in the comments for giving Hermione a journal. Percy pompously apologized to Ron.
