Sally-Anne writes to Narcissa about Hydra's announcement the day before. Professor Amycus Carrow threatens an unidentified irritant. Narcissa checks with Rabastan as to his take on Hydra's situation. Ron succumbs to curiosity about Sally-Anne's message to Narcissa. Draco hopes Harry is not too upset that he will continue flying for Slytherin. Luna makes a linguistic observation.

Tonks returns with a clean bill of health for both mother and baby. Lana Sandoval hints that several students will soon find their social status improved. Bill points to Witch Weekly to support his personal grooming style. Sirius helps Remus and Tonks put the final touches on their beer garden. Narcissa confronts Bellatrix on her treatment of Hydra.

Michael receives multiple birthday presents from his family. Sirius advises Remus further on Tonks' pregnancy and their options. Professor Sinistra announces an opportunity for the students to assist in a collaborative research project.

Lucius discusses Narcissa's high-profile magazine article and notifies Draco and Pansy that they have an appointment at Presto Records over the holidays. Ron experiences a brush with a duel among older students.
