I just have to echo Sally-Ann's shock and say that if this is true! I hope the Order stays even further clear of Dogstar in future.
Unless of course Cormacs appalling behaviour is part of a cleverly disguised cover act, but somehow I doubt it.

How plausible is it that Teddy's cats represent Harry and Draco? Brownish and silvery grey fit their hair color, though Draco's hair isn't exactly grey. And he is jealous of Harry. Don't exactly know why he'd dislike Draco specifically though.

I'm actually loving this added complexity.

There has been a lot of nuance among the death eaters, but so far all the anti-Voldemort forces have been pretty likable, excepting Ridley herself who has been more of a plot device than a character so far. Even MacNair and Snape, while probably not people I'd invite for dinner with mum, have been teddy bears compared to cannon. (Absolutely loving Snape's relationship with Hermione, btw.)

This makes McClaggen sort of an anti-Raz. Even douchebags can occasionally get something right. (As in "Voldie needs to go", not as in "Dogstar are doing things right.")

His brother was a Councilwizard! Who left a hole in the perimeter during the Saltash incident because he was taking apart a Muggle! And when Rachel made her report to Dogstar (at least I assume that's what her notes to Johnny are!), she mentioned Prentiss but not McLaggen.

That Dogstar would recruit a Councilwizard's sibling is not surprising; that they would recruit a sadist's sibling is not surprising; but it really doesn't speak well of them.

Hmm, is there a slim possibility Rufus Mclaggen was also Dogstar? After all he did leave a hole in the perimeter and Dogstar haven't shown any real care for muggles so would he care about killing a muggle for a poor alibi.

Rachel seemed very keen when putting him under Imperius and sending him off, she clearly disliked him, but was her reason purely a work one.

Yeah, I encountered the post I linked first, first (even though chronologically it was later), and thought: hm! was that Dogstar related?
But the dismembering thing makes me really wonder! He couldn't have confessed being Dogstar to Dolohov et al, or they wouldn't just have sent him off to fall in battle (they'd have wanted him to tell them as much as he could about Dogstar)... so might Rachel's Imperius have been very directed (do not tell them anything about...)?

I suppose she might not have known - aren't they arranged in cells?
