I knew she'd left messages over the years, but missed this. So much she has written this year. She asked Sirius for his mothers locket last year. This year she is holding a piece of one of his shadows that she is keeping in her trunk. Does this explain her odd recent behaviour? Kudos to the recent poster who suggested she might have "The Locket".
Oh and how sad, she was falling in love with Draco, but is only in like with George. I get the impression she is aware of Draco's feelings for Hermione and that is bothering her too.
The next comment was made a month later. Here is the part I found relevant:
And I can't tell anyone else. They wouldn't understand.
Draco certainly didn't. George most certainly won't. He'd go running for the hills. After all, I'm damaged goods. You really have ruined me, Pirate.
Sally-Anne tries. She's tried to understand me more than anyone, I think. But it's not as easy as it used to be, and I wonder if she thinks it's worth the effort any more.
Pansy talked about being in like meaning the person wouldn't stay through a rough patch like someone in love. Then here she specifically mentions that George would leave her. She clearly has much more faith in Sally Ann although she is clearly worried that even she may eventually fail. But their friendship has lasted years and had weathered arguments and problems before. Having coped with Umbridge's Imperiused insults, and years of snide comments about being Pansys lackey, the idea she is referring to Sally Ann's friendship in this way doesn't ring true to me. Also pansy loved Draco but still was making plans for a future where she flat shared with Sally Ann. She has spoken of how important their friendship is in the strongest terms. None of that reads to me like a relationship that warrants being described as being in like. Love isn't restricted to a romantic sense, and the two of them seem to care deeply for one another. Also the comment about being in like is one that seems more appropriate to a romantic partner, than even a close friend.
Ohhh. I had completely missed that whole thread. "Oh, Pansy" indeed!
RE: Draco, I was actually thinking about this the other night. Pansy (and I) assumed Draco broke up with her because she lied, but I think for Draco it was more of a convenient excuse than a reason, because he'd realized he had feelings for Hermione. I also think you're spot on about Pansy knowing, and that she has the locket. I'm worried the locket will cause her to do something awful involving Hermione. She's spread awfully thin already, and if she still has feelings for Draco, if anything changes and he and Hermione end up together, she may do something she'll regret.
And now Nott has his wand back. :(
Between the dangers brewing In Alternity and the Supernatural finale, I'm darn lucky nothing is going on IRL, because I don't think I could handle it!
