What a fun week in Alternity world!

Hermione's been sorted!

Bella is Up To Something involving Professor Sinistra. (Anyone know what that's about?)

Sirius and Remus are breaking my heart for the hundredth time with their aborted attempts to reach out to each other. Why can't these two have a proper conversation? I think they could surprise each other if they weren't both just so sad and frustrated and jaded by all the awful history that's built up between them. Also, I know this isn't important at the moment, but is their vibe more former friends or former lovers, do you think? I could see either, but I 'ship these two far too hopelessly to trust my own judgment on that issue.

Every time I check for updates in the past 2 days there are some, which is delightful.

Perhaps I am not the only one who is on Spring Break this week... :)

Wow, I checked Hermione's this morning, went to class for an exam, came back and she was sorted! How neat! Great play!

I can't wait until she posts under the I Solemnly Swear lock. It seems from the little we've seen so far that the characters are going to get to have a lot more fun under that lock, because they don't have Ministry adults *or* Order adults telling them to be careful and serious all the time.

As Terry's player, I have been looking forward to writing under the lock for a long, long time, but it's going to be a very interesting writing challenge. His manner is going to change, of course, but I don't want to make it to be TOO big of a switch because he is essentially feeling his way along, trying to figure out who he is without the restrictions he's been living under up until now.

It's going to be fun for both of us as he figures that out.

I absolutely love that Terry can finally express himself. I broke my heart each time I read what was happening to him, I even suggested someone found a way to 'kill' him (not for real of course, some spell or other??) to remove him from under the Carrow's. I understand is part of the plot, but it just broke my heart.

I love that he is not broken, and I absolutely LOVE your writting! Congratulations on such a great work, Terry and the twins are my favourite characters!!!

I'm reading Sirius and Remus as a former romantic relationship. Alice at least seems to know about it.

What makes you think so? I think the only clue I've had is that Sirius does seem open to relationships with men as well as women, and that he hasn't settled down with one person, which could conceivably be a sign that he still has unresolved feelings for someone in his past that is getting in the way of current relationships. But it also just may be that he cares more about the Order than about romance right now.

On Bella and Sinistra - all I can think of is that it has something to do with the centaurs and their prophecies in the stars (Harry reported that they were saying some esoteric, typical centaur things to him during one of his ventures into the Forbidden Forest). Is she supposed to study What the Stars Say About the LP (And How to Surpress Any Trouble They Predict)? It's all I can think of, at least, but I've never been good at guessing plot twists.

The latest post from Sinistra makes me think maybe it is something that Bella wants built in New London? Perhaps, I don't know, a big fancy observatory? Or, like, new statues to replace the old Muggle ones that were torn down?

Yeah, that business about scale and timing and other practical things does point toward at least some physical structure being involved. I'd dearly love to know more about Sinistra's motivations (not in the least because I'm a lefty and so anything of a... sinister derivation is of special interest to me!) - chatting amiably with Bellatrix Lestrange and then having tea with Madame Pomfrey. Very very interesting.
