Alice tells how she and Neville came to spend an afternoon together. Madam Pomfrey reminds the student body to protect themselves against inclement weather. Regulus updates his master on his progress. Percy assesses the YPL program's first meeting. Ron daydreams about becoming an Auror. Frank requests Alice's presence to feed Kevin. Nymphadora writes of her first shift at her second job.

Sirius describes his initial meeting with a rather cautious spice trader.

Ernie thinks aurors are cool. Terry gets a care package from Molly, who also mentions her progress with the fall harvest. Sally-Anne joins a small Ravenclaw study group.

Ron swears that he's okay, despite being off his feed. Padma complains bitterly about History of Magic. Professor Carrow forces Terry to scrub the floors. Ginny promises to write more often. Terry suffers burns from the lye Carrow spilled on him while cleaning. Dean bears up under sabotage in Transfiguration.
