6 February
Ron offers birthday wishes to his father. Susan catches her parents up on her current activities.
7 February
Lavender recovers her journal through a fire chat with her mother. This prompts Professor McGonagall to ban all further fire chats. Ron blames Lavender for the tighter restrictions. Sally-Anne opens her "study group" to everyone to reduce suspicion that her friends meet to discuss deeper subjects. Lana Sandoval reminds everyone of the new options available to students in search of something to do. Seamus gets a letter from Mr Rosier.
8 February
Padma awakens to discover that her head has been clean-shaven. Dean states his opinions about the growing differentiation occuring at the school. Lavender organizes a show of support for Padma. Draco explains why Dennis has been acting so strangely. Percy threatens punishment to the perpetrator(s) of a prank during supper. Sally-Anne speculates about Harry's true opinions.
9 February
Narcissa expresses her support for Lavender, Padma, and Draco, while reminding all to use the journals. Dennis apologizes for creating a commotion. Padma assures everyone she's back on track after her bad hair day. Hermione gives Ron advance notice that she's coming with a note from Harry. Sally-Anne congratulates herself and Pansy for their study group session. Harry promises revenge against the prefect who attempted to molest Hermione. Sally-Anne is repulsed by the thought that the prefect could do such a thing. Professor McGonagall instructs everyone not to indulge in gossip over the incident. Madam Pomfrey informs the Order that Hermione is physically unharmed, if mentally quite shaken. Seamus verifies what he understands to be the sequence of events.
10 February
Professor Slughorn regrets the incident and reminds everyone that respect for others' persons and property is mandatory. Professor Amycus Carrow views the situation as a call to action. Ron wonders about Hermione's attacker's fate. Sirius spots a statement of Lucius Malfoy's that sets Bill to snooping. Ginny suffers another strange episode. Professor McGonagall fills the Order in to the actions taken against Hermione's would-be rapist.
11 February
Padma rejoices at the return of her hair. Hannah raises the alarm on finding the deposed prefect petrified and Dennis Creevey - dead. Professor McGonagall cancels classes for the day, sending everyone back to their dorms. Sally-Anne checks in with the ISS kids. Draco demands to be taken to see Dennis's body. Susan makes tea. Dean suspects that the attack and Ginny's lapses are linked. Frank pushes for information so he and Alice can notify Colin. Padma objects to being victimized into losing her hair a second time.
12 February
Draco struggles with his thoughts on Dennis's murder. Sally-Anne ruminates about the Dark Arts from the safety of the ISS lock.
