Pansy beat me to pointing out that Sally-Anne's still quiet. I'd like to think she's okay, but if two people have noticed... it really seems like a long time for her to not say anything!

I'm thinking it's something to do with the escapees that's keeping her from responding.

I'm always a bit leery of reading too much into character silences on journal games, unless they come after the character has already participated in the thread eg Reg's end. It's too easy for it to be player issues.

On a different note, I'm waiting with bated breath for the "I LIVE" Grim Truth. :-)

This isn't the message they should send, but all the talk amongst the Death Eaters rejoicing over having caught Sirius makes me want him to tell them that they should remember this day as the day they almost caught Sirius Black.

I agree on wanting the next Grim Truth!

Seconded! It will be great to watch the DE responses to that.. even though they'll probably just claim that it's fake.

About Sally-Anne, normally I would agree with you, but now that Ron and Pansy also noticed and are getting worried.. well, I just hope everything is okay with her.

And now revealed to be something minor:

Nasty treating her as a sort of whipping girl, but not something horrible.

I thought that was a clever way of covering for a player absence, myself. Glad to see the character's okay, and I hope the player is too -- that it's vacation or something else enjoyable that's keeping her away!

The Strettons seem to be the new Dursleys. I wonder if they locked her school trunk in a closet?

As she's with the Strettons, and they run a muggle camp, I was speculating it had something to do with a muggle uprising.

Wearing out my F5 key though. :/

Hmm, now I'm not sure if they actually run one... Maybe they just rent the muggles? :/ Still, they have a lot of muggles around so the possibility of an uprising is still there.

The Strettons don't run a muggle camp, but the distinction can be a little fuzzy since they have so many muggles. They own a series of farms and factories that produce a number of things that wizards (and muggles, for that matter) need -- the jam is their flagship product, but they also have a wool farm and textile factory where the wool is turned into cloth and clothing, a distillery where they make drinkable if not exactly high-quality whiskey, and a number of other projects. They rent a large number of muggles from the Ministry for their labour force.

The Scourge hit the Stretton's estates really hard -- they were fully aware early on that the Ministry was lying about the illness, which is why they quarantined their family, including Sally-Anne, during a period when the Ministry was insisting that there was no danger to wizards. For all that Sally-Anne chafed at the restrictions, she was extremely lucky that they DID keep her and Jeremy inside (and that she was too much of a self-protecting Slytherin to do more than hover overhead as Jeremy counted bodies). She was genuinely vulnerable to infection, and could have died if she'd been exposed. I'm not sure if this was clear from Sally-Anne's posts, but the Strettons let her and Jeremy out of the house because Jeremy implied that they were showing disloyalty with their distrust of the Ministry's statements that they weren't in danger. One of the odd things about Sally-Anne's situation is that she could get the Strettons into enormous trouble if she reported any suspected disloyalty or subversive behavior, and the Strettons know it.

Also, I really LOVE the image of Sally-Anne being held hostage by Severus Snape. They could bond over being halfbloods in Slytherin! Think of how much they'd have to talk about!!! ::wanders off into fantasies::
