Wait. Did Percy just cast the Imperius Curse on Ron to get him to apologize, or am I reading this wrong? Because Neville's right, that doesn't sound like Ron at all...
My only question is that they have indicated there are other lesser mind control magics. My understanding of Imperius has always been that you were actively controlling the victim, but Perry's reaction seems to indicate that Ron took it much farther than intended. Still awful and his family will find it reprehensible, even if not Unforgivable.
Well, in the books (judging from the 4th book) it seems that you don't have to 100% on top of your imperius subject to control them. Mr. Crouch Sr was under the curse when the caster was not there, if I remember correctly. My understand has been that you can give general orders and expect them to be followed until you say not to. So maybe Percy gave a rather vague command to apologize to everyone and Ron took it further than he anticipated?
But I'm certainly not ruling out the possibility that he used something else. I'm mostly curious if Neville will cotton on to what happened.
