Who else thinks that this new character, Wagstaff is yet another Grim Truther? His last post sounds closer to Snape's spectrum of Truth. If you read between the lines (and accent!)he's essentially telling people how to make lye and either splash it on others or get rid of the evidence with it.

I didn't know what was going on with this new character and all the back dated entries but it might be interesting to go back and find out what else he's been saying.

He's somewhere on the Grim Truth spectrum, for sure. I'll admit I'm wondering who the first to comment on him will be.

He doesn't appear to have commented on anybody else's journals; up until recently, it seems that the only person he talks to via Journal is himself. (Some of his earlier entries seem to be messages to himself, and at least one was a PM to himself.)

His latest entry was about lye; the one before that was about sulfuric acid.

I missed that there were back-dated entries. Thanks for the pointer.

He appears to be some sort of travelling peddler by trade.

I agree those post advertising his products are sure advertising interesting uses for them.

I wouldn't be so sure on that, guys. I don't know if he's one of Bella's Boobs or if he's a Genuine Grim Truther, but lye and metal isn't always a great thing - especially the tin, brass or aluminum he's suggesting.

True facts: Little Sporky once decided to play with drain cleaner (lye based) in a brass pot Sporky's Dad had hanging around. Little Sporky ended up with some terrific burns that still show up when she's been in the sun.

Lesson learned: Lye doesn't like anything but stainless steel.

Interesting. That, coupled with his previous message, in which he suggests adding water to sulfuric acid (according to the Wikipedia article on sulfuric acid, one should always add acid to water, and not the other way around), does make one wonder a bit.

If Bella and Co. are using his journal to spread disinformation, they've got a much better handle on making it sound good than the Ministry's attempt.
