Ron calls out Ginny on snogging Troy Derwent. Madam Umbridge posts the results of the essay competition, announced at the YPL that afternoon. Linus congratulates Padma on her win. Moody alerts Frank and Kingsley to a growing situation in Ireland.
29 October
Sirius ponders the strategic implications of an Irish uprising. Hermione has a brainstorm about a way to communicate outside the journals. Dean kisses up to Madam Umbridge. Cedric goes to bed after finishing all the masks. Professor Sinistra returns from a professional conference.
30 October
Molly enjoys her birthday. Cedric announces the gift of the masks to all the students. Neville speculates on mask modification. Bill worries that they haven't heard from Frank or Kingsley. Barty heads to Ireland as well. Frank checks in.
31 October
Barty issues orders to members of his team. Professor Slughorn sends Crabbe and Katrina Bundy to the hospital wing for mask-related injuries. Linus abandons his attempts to enhance his mask. Lucius praises the Lord Protector's birthday commemoration. Zacharias compliments Cedric for the mask idea. Terry describes his own holiday surroundings. He also expresses his gratitude to the Order for his situation.

Nymphadora frets to Alice about being the one left behind as well as the one in the thick of the mission. Narcissa tells Lucius of her appreciation for his devotions. Bill gleans the reason for Ministry personnel on the Isle of Man. Sally-Anne arranges for Hermione to be able to help on the Galleon project. Harry second-guesses allowing Sally-Anne to borrow Hermione. Sally-Anne invites the rest of the ISS to work with her and Hermione on the Galleons.
2 November
Blaise predicts a sound Slytherin victory in Saturday's match. Penelope dodges her mother's offer to visit. Sally-Anne reports their success creating a charmed Galleon. Linus gains acceptance in the private duelling club. Bellatrix pens a message directly to the Lord Protector.
