Alice picks up immediately on Bellatrix's post. Director Selwyn leaves home to answer a summons. Lucius assures Narcissa and Draco that everything will be fine. Zacharias grows impatient waiting for the Quidditch match to start. Cedric watches the match with interest but some distraction. Neville wonders what delayed the start of the game. Kingsley offers a brief report on their progress. Blaise cheers Slytherin's victory. Sirius sends his apologies to Harry, through Hermione. Alice tries to think of ways to take advantage of the situation in Ireland. Harry approves of the enhancements to the Quidditch pitch. Madam Umbridge gloats to her confederates about the Irish troubles. Madam Pomfrey sympathizes with how Professor Sinistra must feel, waiting for news.
4 November
Lana Sandoval drops her party planning in the laps of her friends. Professor Dolohov assigns reading and homework to be completed in his absence. Terry worries about the Longbottoms. Evelyn provides some trivia to make Ron feel better about his performance as Keeper. Justin remarks on their professors' departure and Cedric's odd behavior.

Frank checks in with Alice. Zacharias wishes Ernie a happy birthday. Professor Sinistra cancels her weekly trip to New London. Bill learns from Rosier that there has been an explosion in Dublin. Harry proposes a fifth-year revision group for DADA and DA. Padma writes to Seamus when he doesn't show for class. Cedric prescribes himself a trip to the Hospital Wing. Rodolphus Lestrange tells Hydra that he's going to Ireland as well. Hydra passes her conclusions on to the ISS. Lucius discovers a bomb that has not exploded. Padma continues her search for Seamus. Moody coordinates the Order's movements in Ireland. Kingsley witnesses Emmeline Vance duel Barty Crouch, Jr. and lose. Terry asks Fred and George to look out for Neville and Evelyn. Alice decides to press on with her and Sirius's plan. Barty Crouch, Jr. recovers Emmeline's body. Lucius requests additional resources in yet another area of Ireland. Padma fears the worst when she still has not heard from Seamus. Barty needs reinforcements. Padma enlists Linus and Lavender to help her locate Seamus. Madam Pomfrey bites her nails as she waits for news. Lucius requires assistance as well. Draco sees this and worries about its meaning. Sirius encourages the Order with a battle speech. Ron frets about his parents. He also inquires of his mother regarding the situation at home. Madam Umbridge keeps the home fires burning in her own fashion. Rodolphus pulls Rabastan away from the battle. Justin guesses that Ron is struggling with the uncertainty. Kingsley imparts the news of Benjy Fenwick's death. Narcissa makes sure that Professor Sinistra knows Rabastan is all right. Director Selwyn doubts the effectiveness of clinging to the story that Black is dead. Cedric receives his diagnosis from Madam Pomfrey. He also informs Professors Sinistra and Sprout of the same. Neville entreats Terry to pass a message to his parents. Padma addresses the school's gratitude for being allowed to listen to the Minister's speech over the lunch hour. Alice verifies that Frank is okay.

Nymphadora hopes to continue her Auror training from Frank and Alice. Professor Lestrange catches his breath enough to check in with Professor Sinistra. Rodolphus arranges for Lana to come and help him. Kingsley invites the Order to Benjy's funeral. Lucius forwards his political machinations in the midst of the cleanup. Sirius demands that Remus acknowledge him, even if it's to have the fight he's been avoiding. Arthur connects to a strong potential recruit for the Order. Lana Pennifold berates her husband for worrying about her.

Cedric wants to join Harry on his exercise regimen. Lana tries to stick with Rodolphus. Harry reminds the students about the DA and Defence revising group. Professor Dolohov smells a rat. Terry wrestles with what he should say to the ISS about the reprisals. Sirius posts a rundown of the day's news, official and otherwise. Madam Umbridge uses the passing of one of the Death Eaters as an excuse to dismantle the halfblood advancement branches of the YPL.
9 November
Daphne focuses her efforts on the more pleasant prospect of her musical revue. Narcissa reveals her lack of dismay at the end of the Sisters in Witchcraft. Professor Dolohov unroots the source of misinformation regarding the IMA's surrender. Professor McGonagall raises her head to assuage the Order. Hermione confers with Snape regarding McGonagall and some development on the Galleon project. Hydra thinks about the events of the past week. Ron works on his homework to keep his mind off things. Charlie resumes his chess game, feeling disconnected on other fronts. Terry apologizes for growing frustrated with the ISS.
