OK, I know I'm probably behind the times, but something just occured to me today. And I got the expected "no comment" from my player contact. :)

So who is going on the run at the end of the year? I haven't spent much time thinking on this, but with the discussions this week, I suddenly have a scary preposition...

Draco, Hermione, and Hydra or Justin.

I don't think it will be Harry. He will be the one back at Hogwarts holding the fort, a la Neville in the books. Not that I don't think Alternity!Neville couldn't do it, but this is Alternity after all, no matter how much they fit in canon.

The description doesn't really fit Kingsley? But I don't know. I feel like I'm missing something really obvious with this whole thing.

I had thought it was Kingsley, since we hadn't heard from him since he reported back on the Ouroboros hunt, but he just accepted the invitation to the burrow, so I really don't know.

Yeah, I know the feeling. Too many possibilities!

I am tempted to compile a list of the cast and run down who we've heard from and who we haven't. Possibly start with the Hogwarts staff, since they've been referenced.

Actually, Toshenka seemed really freaked out something related to it, I noticed that at the time. Maybe that's an avenue to look at too.

Though we haven't considered the possibility that someone is posing as the person, to avoid suspicion. We know it's possible; didn't Sandoval pose as someone for a while?

Nymphadora would be interesting - it would explain Narcissa's and Bellatrix's interest, and the mention of "a sprog", but I would think Remus or Sirius might have said something, if only to each other, if she had gone missing. Hmm.

I would have expected that. Though we were considering that whoever it was might have been impersonated, so-- they might not have noticed if she only went missing briefly, under the right circumstances.

Looking back at Dolohov's comments when Sagittarius was caught, it almost has to be someone in the Order:
"Still not sure how I feel about this. Like a foundation has been shaken, I suppose."
and
"Telling the difference between well-hidden active sedition and an apolitical devotion to academe without raising suspicion is one thing; doing so while juggling my six thousand other urgent tasks is quite another. Both make me think that suspicion was placed on Minerva - and I can't imagine who would be linked to "whole troves of traitors" and be able to plausibly implicate Minerva but not be in the Order. (And I can't imagine who that might be if it isn't Minerva. Poppy?)

That does sound like suspicion being placed on Minerva. I'm just not sure who could be Sagittarius.

No, I know it's not Poppy who's Sagittarius, but could it be her who's been implicated? She's the only other woman I can imagine Dolohov describing as apolitical, purposefully isolated, and troubling to consider a traitor.

Oh, sorry, I was thinking of Order members at Hogwarts more than--but yeah, I could see that.

...I could also see him describing Siz that way.

Edit: Not that's there's any reason for her to be implicated that we know of, but I could see that description fitting her.

I went back and looked again and there are two different systems of zodiac, sidereal and classical. Those who fit sidereal Sagittarius are Frank, Alice, Moody, Sirius and Severus. Those fitting the classical Sagittarius are Bill, Charlie, and Sirius. ( Kingsley's birthday is past both of them, he's not a Sag.)

The question is, which system does Hogwarts use?

The only person who fits both is Sirius.

Let's hope I'm barking up the wrong tree.

We've heard from Alice, Sirius, Severus, Bill, and Charlie over the Order Only lock, which I'd expect to be hard to impersonate someone on. (Possible, yes, based on Colin using Frank's journal, but they'd have to be sworn in, I think)

Moody might be possible, actually, though I would have expected him to be paranoid enough to avoid this. ...Though it is Barty.

..yeah, that was pretty much my thought process. Along with how he caught him. If someone could do it, well, it would probably be Barty.

On the tracker, Barty says that he "Followed [it] to Scotland once, then to St David's"

Lee went to St David's with Fred and George on the octoborus at the equinox. Barty's thing about following to St David's was written after the equinox. But I think the trio were flying from Cornwall. So might not be related.

But Lee's checked in saying he's going to the Order meeting.

All of those except Moody have written recently. (Well, technically and Frank, but I can't imagine Alice or Colin not mentioning to someone that Frank had gone missing, even briefly gone missing, and he'd be very difficult to imitate, especially since he does not have magic and any impersonator would and would probably use it without thinking. I also can't imagine him being described as afraid of pain.)
