Though actually, I am a fan of strikethroughs in this RPG, because without them there wouldn't be any way to communicate a bunch of the important info we get. Except by having the character be reckless and get into a lot of trouble, which is fun sometimes, but if it happened all the time it would start to be pretty hard to justify why people kept using their journals at all.
I agree. (I loved the father/mother revision in Draco's comment and was really touched by Sally Anne's indecision about what she wanted to say and what she could risk saying -- I think for her it was both that she felt constrained and that she feels ambivalent about her parents.)
I think the strikethrough is pretty important for this rpg because it shows the degree of self-censorship that's necessary. (Plus, as brimtoast says, it helps communicate information to the reader that would otherwise not be plausible for characters to reveal in this game's AU and its journal format.)
Oh man, add me to the list of people who laughed out loud at that. I also tend to enjoy the strikethroughs, to get a glimpse into people's head that they can't say in public, but this takes the cake as Best Strikethrough Ever.
It's a personal thing, I know, but I prefer when that kind of hidden information is conveyed through tone and reading between the lines. Plus, even if the other characters can't read it, the other players can, and it influences them. *shrugs*
