I am quite ... concerned that the LP is going to make Daphne and Crouch consummate the marriage in front of everyone. His questions about what she inherited from Raz, and all this stuff about how the pureblood families are interrelated, have me worrying that he thinks a sprog from Daphne and Crouch would be a great next body after he's done with Harry's.

Ugh. Everyone, please at least survive the wedding.

One wonders, of course, whether V actually picked up on any of Daphne's traitorous stuff - though if he dug around and found out about her stealing the horcrux I'm pretty sure he'd not have set up that whole thing but had more rampage to him - or whether this was just another round of "Fuck you for thinking you get to have relationships other than 'my attack dog', Barty."

Maybe it's just the recent to do over a Roman eagle, but I'm strongly reminded of the story of Lucretia, which - in legend at least - was a catalyst for the early Romans ousting their kings. (Trigger warning for anyone who looks that up.)
