The whole situation made me weep (Daphne! I'm glad her last hours were so happy though) but Dolohov certainly drew fresh tears.

I'm comforting myself with the fact that this seems to be a turning point for so many characters. Even Rod.

I don't think Severus will need to ensure her sacrifice is remembered. I doubt it will be forgotten.

Maybe it's just the recent to do over a Roman eagle, but I'm strongly reminded of the story of Lucretia, which - in legend at least - was a catalyst for the early Romans ousting their kings. (Trigger warning for anyone who looks that up.)
