...or possibly the plan was just for Voldie to AK Rod so he could get back out of Harry's body into his old one?

Or maybe Bella really did think Rod could offer assistance, who knows.

Just realised something else. I've always been wondering about the Deathly Hallows in Alternity even though they haven't been mentioned. But Dumbledore died from casting the neo-Fidelius. Which means that the power of the Elder Wand has been broken. So that has been nicely tied up but also made me realise that there is absolutely no hope for Harry. *sobs*

I want to know what Neville handed to Harry. Was it just part of Voldie's ritual or something more interesting?

If it was, he was not completely gone mentally, enough of him remained for the gesture. And that gave Ron the chance to move without being seen. Fitting that he should have a role in Voldie's final downfall

Dear players, I'll have you know my living room is getting tidy this morning, because otherwise I am going to break my poor F5 key. So it's been "OMG Dolohov still hasn't checked in and he's there with Bella who'll scrape any hint of being a traitor out of his mind and curse him if she catches it" and then five minutes of "put away all of the books you have on the sofa, YES ALL OF THEM" and then "OMG DYNAMITE GRENADES FU" and then "crap, where did I hide the Swiffer cloths" and then "DAMMIT RACHEL CHECK IN" ...

and now INDERPAL AND HARUMAN WERE DOGSTAR and Seamus is breaking it off with Padma and all I can hear in my head is Auron, shouting, "Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!"

Actually I think I misunderstood him--at first I thought he meant standing in the middle of the room was better than a doorway, but now I think he meant under a desk is better than a doorway.

When I was growing up in the Bay Area in the '80s and '90s, we were drilled on getting to a doorway or else underneath a stable piece of furniture during an earthquake, if you were indoors (if you were outdoors, get into as open an area as possible, look out for poles and trees and falling bits of buildings). Since then, recommendations have changed - doorways aren't as structurally key as they were believed to be then, plus there's a risk of getting your fingers caught in the swinging door as you brace yourself. Dunno what advice would've been in a place with as few natural-yet-significant earthquakes as the Protectorate, though, especially in the late '90s.

Very much hoping Dolohov has survived, just for his commentary (and possibly help reining Crouch in?), even though the Order is probably raffling off the chance to be the one to kill him/them.

I'm holding onto the slimmest of hopes that Harry is reborn from the ashes, as Cedric put it - and Dolohov's *surely* got something to say to his god about this whole mess. Especially now that PMs are secure again.

With the Ministry under Neo-Fidelius, it makes me wonder - how is that going to affect the Floo Network? And the earthquakes ... the wards ... portkeys ... I'd think even flying's going to be off (especially ley line and the sort) if the wards are Reacting to the Dark Lord's Death. #transportationgeek
