Rookwood and Tosha are gone, both killed by people I would not have expected to be their deaths.

I wonder if Barty will survive the night?

So furious, so sad, and I'm right with her - I liked him! He was a great evil guy! And then he made inferi and all of a sudden I didn't really want him to get to see Albion finally victorious, after all.

I was really hoping that part of Alternity's winding down would include the Redemption of Antonin Dolohov.

I didn't have hope of that. I was hoping that he'd live long enough for Siz to give him that piece of her mind non-posthumously though...

As is, with Barty on the rampage, I'm not sure the world will survive the afternoon. Would Sinistra be enough of a target in his mind? What about Bellatrix - after all, wasn't she the one who compelled Tosha to revive the Inferi project? And Hydra's surely a target of "I will take everyone down with me ..."

I found it equally telling that Bellatrix wants to discuss "exit strategies." To me that doesn't sound like someone who still thinks she can win.

I find myself wondering if Barty has developed a death wish...he seems to be calling Hydra out, and I have to wonder if it's at least partly a plea to kill him, since he's been going 'round killing everyone he ever cared about in addition to people who might get Hydra's attention in one way or another. He was in love with Athena, he killed Daphne's family - Maebh should be *really* grateful she's locked up right now.

If the Order were a little more ruthless I would expect them to bait a trap with Maebh.

Possible. It's not just that Hydra may be right that Dolohov was making the inferi for him; he told Bellatrix that all Dolohov needed was field time.

Yeah. Hydra's theory is sound, I think.

Barty persuaded him not only to do something that he found damnably evil (make inferi), but got him to push himself past exhaustion and then took him out into the field for a break, where, again, Barty did not sufficiently guard his back.

Barty thinks he damned his father.

And I missed this was foreshadowing when it was posted, of course.

Hydra is absolutely killing me over the past two days with all her messages to Barty, but the last two in particular were like a bludger to the stomach.

Where do you suppose Justin is? And what do you suppose Hydra wants with a unicorn?

I think (but I hope I'm wrong) that she drank its blood. She probably thought it was the only way to stay alive long enough to kill him.
